All the JEM creations are made in 18 carats ethical gold certified Fairmined. This gold, produced by human scaled artisanal mining communities, respects the most rigorous eco-responsible standards in terms of transparency and governance as well as environmental protection and social commitment. Fairmined contributes to local economic development, helps fight against poverty and corruption (money laundering, financing of armed conflicts) and reduces the harmful impacts induced by uncontrolled artisanal mining. 

It is in France, in one of the most renowned jeweller’s workshops located in the heart of les Vosges, that our jewels take shape. The workshop is dedicated to excellence in jewellery-making, and is itself committed in an innovative sustainable policy that uses its most beautiful craftsmanship to bring forth change. Each of the pieces is handcrafted using traditional techniques: it is this irreplaceable human know-how perpetuated by exceptional craftsmen and transmitted from master to student, which is expressed in JEM's creations.
