An architect by profession, as well as sceneographer and designer, India Mahdavi explores different territories, from design to interior design, from scenography to architecture.

"For me, the place is the point of departure for all stories, for all projects. And since each story is different, each of my projects is unique, each of them is a first time." 

Cherishing a nomadic culture and in love with the contrasts of scales and materials, India Mahdavi has designed a jewellery collection in pure gold exclusively for JEM, adapting her architectural language to an exclusive jewellery collection. 

"For Voids, I’ve borrowed from the building world the raw and graphic material of perforated sheet metal to propose an architecture on a human scale, inscribed in a balance between hollows and solids". 
Several sizes of perforations, deploying the same motifs in different densities, have been imagined for the ensemble of this collection. Each element is able to stand alone but it is in its accumulation that Voids finds a resonance that is both simple and modern.
